RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Desktop Support in Jackson, WI.

Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IT Local Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support for end-user and infrastructure technology at a local facility. This role serves as the onsite IT point of contact, supports daily technology operations, escalates complex issues, and partners with centralized IT teams to maintain system availability and security.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide onsite and remote support for laptops, desktops, tablets, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals
* Support basic infrastructure equipment including network devices, wireless access points, and telephony
* Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues (Windows, Microsoft Office, enterprise apps)
* Manage and prioritize incidents using the enterprise ticketing system
* Act as the local escalation point for IT issues and coordinate resolution with support teams
* Train end users on submitting and managing service requests
* Assist with workstation imaging, OS deployments, refresh cycles, and hardware replacements
* Ensure compliance with security, patching, antivirus, and software standards
* Support printers/copiers including troubleshooting, toner replacement, and vendor coordination
* Maintain hot spare inventory and coordinate equipment disposal
* Provide after-hours or on-call support as needed

REQUIREMENTS:
* High School diploma/GED or equivalent
* 5+ years of experience in IT end-user or infrastructure support
* Experience with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and remote support tools
* Strong troubleshooting skills for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
* Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills
* Ability to work independently and support users at all levels

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience supporting enterprise or distributed IT environments
* Exposure to networking, wireless, VPN, or telephony support
* Experience mentoring or supporting junior technicians

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
