We are looking for an experienced Instructional Systems Designer to develop engaging compliance training programs for global teams. This contract position focuses on creating effective learning experiences that ensure adherence to regulatory, legal, and organizational standards. Based in Menlo Park, California, this role requires a creative problem-solver who thrives in dynamic environments and connects learning design with measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement compliance training programs tailored to diverse global audiences.
Transform complex regulatory, legal, and technical content into clear, engaging learning materials.
Apply instructional design principles to create scalable solutions across digital, instructor-led, and blended formats.
Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to align training initiatives with organizational goals.
Customize learning content for international teams, ensuring adherence to local regulations and cultural nuances.
Conduct needs assessments and user research to inform training design strategies.
Develop measurable learning objectives and evaluation methods to assess training effectiveness.
Manage learning management system operations, including content updates, user management, and accessibility.
Regularly review and refine training materials to ensure relevance, accuracy, and business alignment.
Contribute to the improvement of instructional design processes and tools to enhance efficiency.
Requirements
3-5 years of experience in instructional design or learning experience design within corporate or startup environments.
Expertise in adult learning principles and performance-driven design strategies.
Proficiency in tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Canva, Camtasia, and similar platforms.
Strong ability to simplify complex content into engaging and accessible learning formats.
Proven track record of collaborating with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams.
Experience creating digital, instructor-led, and blended learning solutions.
Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in fast-paced settings.
Effective communication and creative problem-solving skills to deliver impactful learning designs.
