Engineer (Contract - Automotive CAD Focus)Location: Raymond, OH
Pay Rate: $42.50 - $47.13/hr

We are seeking an experienced
Engineer to support advanced automotive development projects. This role focuses on CAD design, chassis component engineering, and collaboration with cross-functional teams and suppliers to deliver high-quality, manufacturable designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automotive chassis components including wheels, brakes, fuel systems, and exhaust systems
- Create and modify complex CAD models using CATIA V5/V6 (V6 preferred)
- Perform solid and surface modeling, ensuring robust, revision-resistant designs
- Develop 2D/3D annotated engineering drawings with GD&T understanding
- Interpret and apply CAE results (stiffness, natural frequency, etc.)
- Ensure designs meet Design for Manufacturability (DFM) requirements
- Work with suppliers to evaluate technical proposals and ensure proper part/service execution
- Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve design issues
- Manage multiple projects and support development schedules
- Prepare technical reports and communicate results in various engineering formats
- Make technical decisions with moderate supervision
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering required
- 3-6 years of automotive chassis design experience preferred (L2-level capability)
- Strong proficiency in CATIA V5/V6 and engineering drawing standards
- Experience with DFM and mechanical system design required
- Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or in teams
- Valid driver's license required
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced engineering environment
