Smart Grid Network Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Smart Grid Network Analyst in Tampa, FL.

Duties Include:
* Plan, design, and implement Smart Grid RF network infrastructure based on project requirements, capacity planning, and system support needs
* Maintain accurate and complete network documentation, including configurations, system settings, equipment inventories, and site records
* Plan, organize, and coordinate Smart Grid RF network equipment installations and support activities with Tampa Electric departments and contract crews
* Kit, assemble, provision, and configure Smart Grid RF network equipment for field deployment
* Assist with and validate job plans, including work sequence, labor hour estimates, material and equipment requirements, scheduling, and coordination activities
* Monitor Smart Grid RF network performance using Network Management Systems to detect, troubleshoot, and resolve reliability or performance issues
* Perform firmware and configuration updates on Smart Grid RF network equipment as required to maintain system integrity and performance
* Define technical specifications for new Smart Grid RF hardware and software, and participate in evaluation and testing activities

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong knowledge of Smart Grid RF network architectures, concepts, and operational principles
* Hands-on experience installing, configuring, and supporting RF network hardware and software in a utility or large-scale infrastructure environment
* Experience monitoring and troubleshooting network performance and reliability issues using Network Management Systems
* Working knowledge of RF communications, mesh networks, and related networking fundamentals
* Experience performing firmware and configuration updates on network and field devices
* Familiarity with Advanced Metering Infrastructure, including RF and PLC communications
* Ability to read, interpret, and develop technical documentation, equipment records, and configuration standards
* Experience coordinating technical work across internal departments, field teams, and contractor resources
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex system issues
* Ability to support job planning activities, including labor estimates, material requirements, sequencing, and scheduling
* Understanding of change management practices in an operational or critical infrastructure environment
* Ability to work independently and as part of a cross functional team

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
