The Opportunity

StaffRight Associates is seeking a high-caliber civil engineering professional to step into a high-visibility, community-focused leadership role. In this capacity, you will serve as a vital, client-facing consultant for local government entities throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. Rather than simply executing technical designs, you will act as a trusted advisor to township and borough leadership, directly influencing public infrastructure, guiding sustainable regional growth, and ensuring the long-term resilience of local communities.

This is an exceptional opportunity to elevate your professional profile, command public meetings, and make a tangible impact on civic development.

What You’ll Do

  • Champion municipal representation by serving as the primary designated engineer for township and borough clients, delivering expert guidance and building enduring institutional relationships.

  • Drive public sessions and municipal meetings, presenting complex technical findings with clarity and confidence to elected officials, stakeholders, and the public.

  • Evaluate comprehensive subdivision, zoning, grading, and land development proposals to guarantee absolute alignment with local ordinances and regulatory frameworks.

  • Architect robust stormwater management systems and detention facilities while directing critical infrastructure rehabilitation initiatives.

  • Direct construction administration duties, including managing escrow accounts, tracking project budgets, and coordinating multifaceted stakeholder interests from conception to completion.

  • Synthesize technical documentation, feasibility assessments, and comprehensive engineering reports to secure necessary permits from state and local regulatory agencies.

  • Cultivate regional business growth by identifying service expansion opportunities and optimizing municipal and utility account management strategies.

What You Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related technical discipline.

  • Licensure: Valid Registered Professional Engineer (PE) credential in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is strictly required.

  • Experience: 7 to 10 years of progressive expertise within civil engineering, with a dedicated focus on municipal client representation and public works design.

  • Technical Mastery: Proven track record reviewing subdivision and land development plans, evaluating drainage/stormwater systems, and navigating MS-4 programs (including Pollution Reduction Plans).

  • Software Proficiency: Strong familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D or equivalent industry design software preferred.

  • Communication: Superior verbal presentation and technical writing skills, with a demonstrated comfort level speaking before public boards and community committees.
