Role Overview
The client is seeking a Tax Analyst to support tax-related operations in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, handling taxpayer inquiries, account reviews, and compliance activities. This role involves research, problem-solving, and working with tax systems to resolve complex payment and filing issues.
Key Responsibilities
Provide professional customer service via phone and written communication in a call-center environment
Respond to taxpayer inquiries related to tax filing and payment requirements
Analyze issues using training knowledge and internal resources to resolve problems
Review taxpayer accounts and apply payments accurately
Conduct research on unpaid or unfiled tax liabilities using internal systems
Create and update billings, liabilities, penalties, and interest based on court orders
Review and close cases that are paid in full, dismissed, or discharged
Assist in evidence collection and documentation for investigations
Process disclosure requests for confidential taxpayer information with accuracy and compliance
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
