The OpportunityWe partner with manufacturers across Coopersville seeking Electrical Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities- Designs, develops, and tests electrical systems and components for manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoots and resolves electrical issues in production machinery and control systems.
- Implements and maintains programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and human-machine interfaces (HMIs).
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems into new and existing manufacturing processes.
- Develops and maintains electrical schematics, documentation, and safety procedures.
- Participates in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize electrical system performance and reliability.
Recommended Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical design and troubleshooting within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical) for schematic design and panel layouts.
- Strong understanding of PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems, including programming and configuration.
- Experience with motor control systems, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and servo systems.
- Knowledge of relevant electrical safety standards and regulations (e.g., NFPA 70E, NEC).
Bonus Qualifications- Experience with vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence) for automated inspection.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP/IP).
- Knowledge of robotics programming and integration (e.g., FANUC, ABB, KUKA).
- Experience with high-voltage power distribution and safety standards.
