Job Title: Systems Operations Engineer 4 / Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Location: Charlotte, NC OR Irving, TX - Hybrid, 3 days onsite

Contract Length: 18 months (extension possible; must be eligible to convert)

Pay Rate: $60 - $64
Top Requirements:
  • 5+ years Systems Engineering or Technology Architecture experience in enterprise/regulatory environments.
  • 2+ years direct SRE experience, operating or leading within an SRE team.
  • Kubernetes / OpenShift (OCP) expertise for containerized workloads.
  • Strong PowerShell, Python/Java, and automation skills.
  • Observability tooling proficiency (Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk/ELK, AppDynamics, Aternity, ThousandEyes).
  • Strong database experience (Oracle, SQL, DB2, MongoDB, Hadoop/Spark/Cloudera).
  • Plusses:
  • AutoSys scheduling experience.
  • AIOps background - Moogsoft, AI/ML frameworks, predictive alerting, self-healing automation.
  • Corporate bank or financial crimes environment exposure (KYC, AML, regulatory ops).
  • Experience with ServiceNow, Remedy, Netcool.
  • Interest or emerging skills in AI (classification, regression, anomaly detection, ethical considerations).
  • Job Summary:

    This Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) role supports the Archiving & Compliance platform within Systems Operations Engineering. The engineer will handle large-scale production systems across regulated electronic communication archives critical for compliance, remediation, and eDiscovery. The role blends software engineering, automation, observability, and cloud-native operations to enhance reliability and reduce toil.

    The engineer will help evolve the team toward SRE, automation-first processes, and cloud-aligned operational excellence. Responsibilities include tooling automation, multi-cloud resiliency improvements, AIOps enablement, incident response, ITSM workflows, and governance over non-functional requirements.
    Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
    • Design and deploy automated tooling to remove manual toil and improve operational performance.
    • Build and enhance monitoring, observability, alerting, and telemetry pipelines.
    • Model and advocate for SRE best practices across TCOO Technology.
    • Enhance system resiliency patterns across multi-cloud environments.
    • Introduce and scale AIOps using AI/ML, RPA, and self-healing techniques.
    • Automate key SRE metrics: SLOs/SLIs, error budgets, customer impact analysis, availability tracking.
    • Support critical applications, lead incident response, drive blameless postmortems, and perform root-cause analysis.
    • Implement and govern Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) as part of modernization efforts.
    • Help define and enforce Permit to Operate processes.
    • Participate in production support rotations (some weekend/on-call expected).
    • Collaborate with platform engineering, infrastructure, InfoSec, and compliance partners.
