Job Description:
Engineering Lab Technician
-Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred), Associate's degree in a STEM field (Engineering or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Technology preferred) with 1+ years of relevant experience, or 5+ years of relevant experience
-Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
Responsibilities -
-Assembling new devices, test fixtures, and experimental laboratory setups
- Executing laboratory tests and standardized test methods and accurately recording data
- Recognizing abnormal test or equipment behavior, troubleshooting minor issues, and escalating concerns when necessary.
- Performing preventive maintenance on laboratory puff machines (weekly, monthly, semiannual)
- Conducting laboratory equipment calibrations per established schedules
- Maintaining and operating 3D printers, including routine upkeep and basic troubleshooting
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace
- Following all safety procedures when working with chemicals, tools, and powered equipment
