Description
We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our team in Fayetteville, Arkansas. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in managing enterprise-level network operations. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise with Cisco routers and switches, as well as a strong ability to troubleshoot and optimize network performance in medium to large-scale infrastructures.
Responsibilities:
Configure, deploy, and maintain Cisco routers and switches throughout the enterprise network.
Monitor and manage network operations to ensure reliability, security, and optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex networking issues, including Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols.
Assist in network upgrades, migrations, and performance optimization efforts.
Analyze network metrics and recommend solutions to improve efficiency.
Document network configurations, architectures, and operational procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support seamless network functionality.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for network security.
Provide technical expertise during the implementation of new network technologies.
Requirements
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing Cisco routers and switches in an enterprise environment. Proficient in Layer 2 technologies and routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP. Familiarity with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds or Cisco Prime. Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving complex network issues. Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, subnetting, and ACLs. Availability for onsite work in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Preferred certifications such as CCNA or CCNP. Knowledge of firewall technologies including Cisco ASA and Firepower.
