What You'll Do

Do you thrive on solving technical challenges and delivering exceptional support in a fast-paced professional environment?

As a Technology Support Analyst I at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, you'll play a hands-on role supporting attorneys and business professionals by keeping their technology running smoothly and reliably. Embedded within the Information Technology team and reporting to the Technology Support Manager, this role is critical to day-to-day operations-combining technical problem-solving, customer service, and collaboration across teams. This position is based in our New York office and requires on-site presence.
The schedule for this position is:

Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM

End-User Technical Support: Install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade desktop and laptop hardware, operating systems, and core applications to keep users productive.
Issue Resolution & Troubleshooting: Apply structured troubleshooting methods to resolve PC, application, mobile device, and connectivity issues, escalating appropriately when needed.
Windows & Microsoft 365 Support: Provide day-to-day support for Windows 11 and the Microsoft 365 suite, including Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive.
Remote & Secure Access: Support Virtual Private Network (VPN), Citrix, and remote computing solutions to ensure secure access to firm systems.
Mobile & Mac Support: Assist with iOS device setup and troubleshooting and provide basic support for macOS environments and integrations.
Audio-Visual & Conference Rooms: Set up and troubleshoot video and audio conferencing systems to support meetings and firm events.
Ticket Management & Documentation: Accurately log, track, and resolve incidents and requests using the ServiceNow ticketing system, documenting solutions and new processes.
Collaboration & Team Support: Partner with other technical teams, share knowledge, and assist colleagues with complex or high-priority issues.
Maintenance & Rollouts: Participate in firmwide maintenance windows and technology rollouts, including occasional overtime on evenings or weekends.

What You'll Bring

Education & Certifications: A degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent technical training; A+ and/or Microsoft certifications are a plus.
Relevant Experience: 3-4 years of technology support experience in a professional services environment; law firm experience is preferred.
Technical Foundation: Working knowledge of desktop hardware, Windows operating systems, Microsoft Exchange/Exchange Online, ticketing systems (especially ServiceNow), and common peripherals.
Customer Service Mindset: Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to support users at all levels with professionalism and empathy.
Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Sound judgment, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities calmly in high-pressure situations.
Team-Oriented Approach: A collaborative, reliable partner who enjoys sharing knowledge and contributing to a high-performing support team.

Compensation

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position in New York. This range may differ based on your geographic location and cost of living considerations. At Kirkland & Ellis, we consider compensation more than just a base salary. Compensation Range:

New York: $67,000-$92,000
