Description
We are looking for an experienced Help Desk Analyst to join our team in New York, New York. This is a Contract to permanent position where you will play a key role in managing and supporting IT systems, ensuring seamless functionality across platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise and a proactive approach to resolving system and user challenges.
Responsibilities:
Perform daily systems administration tasks, including maintenance, backups, performance monitoring, and security checks for Windows-based platforms.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights while assisting IT staff with routine tasks.
Develop detailed documentation for system upgrades, installations, repairs, and user training.
Provide advanced troubleshooting support and backup services for Help Desk technicians.
Collaborate with IT teams to address broader system issues and implement solutions.
Monitor and maintain server environments, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
Utilize tools such as PowerShell to manage Microsoft systems, including Azure.
Implement and oversee firewall technologies, hybrid cloud solutions, and VoIP systems.
Support the configuration and management of HP servers and Hyper-V environments.
Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and security protocols.
Requirements
Minimum of three years' experience in systems administration, Windows server administration, or network administration.
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 and Active Directory.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office 365 and hybrid cloud solutions.
Familiarity with firewall technologies and VoIP systems.
Knowledge of Hyper-V and HP server management.
Ability to manage and configure Azure systems using PowerShell.
Current Microsoft certifications are preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
