Description
We are looking for a proactive Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in Farmers Branch, Texas. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth technical operations across a manufacturing environment. This position offers an exciting mix of hands-on technical support and physical workplace assistance, ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative setting.
Responsibilities:
Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, monitors, docking stations, and related peripherals.
Set up equipment for new employees, department relocations, and special projects.
Perform basic network troubleshooting, including Ethernet connectivity checks and resolving drop issues.
Manage workstation moves, reconfigurations, and desk setups while ensuring organized and ergonomic layouts.
Provide support for audio-visual systems, including installing and mounting displays in conference rooms and common areas.
Troubleshoot video conferencing systems and address AV-related issues during meetings or events.
Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets such as laptops, monitors, and accessories, while tracking equipment lifecycle.
Image, stage, and prepare devices for deployment, ensuring readiness for end-users.
Assist with low-voltage cabling, labeling, and patching as required.
Document tasks in service management tools and escalate complex issues appropriately.
Requirements
Proficiency in Active Directory for managing user accounts and permissions.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10, including installation and troubleshooting.
Experience with basic troubleshooting techniques for hardware and software issues.
Familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating systems in a detail-oriented environment.
Ability to manage and resolve service desk tickets effectively.
Excellent organizational skills for inventory management and equipment tracking.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and end-users.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as workstation moves and equipment setups.
