SAP Integration Architect SME

Location: St. Louis, Missouri (Remote)

Role Overview

An opportunity is available for an SAP Integration Suite Senior Developer. This role supports a mission-critical SAP S/4HANA solution for transportation and logistics operations for a federal agency. The position is responsible for solutions that exchange data among SAP instances and external systems. The role requires expertise in SAP Integration Suite and experience supporting transportation operations, systems, or programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the analysis of business operations to validate requirements, scope, and suggest process improvements.
• Analyze business requirements to design and develop end-to-end integration flows (iFlows) using various architectural patterns.
• Evaluate, model, and design interface objects from an enterprise Service Architecture perspective to construct connectors, mappings, and routing rules.
• Analyze the current landscape to identify integration gaps and recommend modernization strategies.
• Develop and maintain SAP design and technical specification documents.
• Conduct unit, integration, and release testing to validate functionality.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 15+ years of SAP experience with 10+ years in SAP Integration Middleware.

Technical Skills:

• Strong experience with SAP Integration Suite (CPI/Cloud Integration), SAP Integration Advisor, and API management.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and BTP architecture.
• Proficiency in Groovy scripts, XSLT, and implementing message mapping (MIG/MAG).
• Deep understanding of EDI standards (EDIFACT, X12) and experience with DoD EDI standards (DTEB preferred).
• Experience configuring EDI interfaces using TPM Configuration and adapters such as AS2, SFTP, and OData.
• Deep understanding of REST, SOAP, OData, SFTP, EDI, and JSON/XML formats.
• Experience in API Management, including publishing, securing, and monitoring APIs while enforcing security policies (OAuth, SAML, SSL/TLS).
• Experience configuring standard and custom adapters (SFTP, REST, SOAP, OData, JDBC, IDoc) and managing message mapping, transformations, and routing.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Rate Range: $85.00 - $95.00/hr
