Role Overview
An opportunity is available for an SAP Integration Suite Senior Developer to support a mission-critical SAP S/4HANA solution for a federal agency. This role focuses on solutions that exchange data between SAP instances and external systems. The position requires expertise in SAP Integration Suite and experience with transportation operations to ensure capabilities align with doctrine, regulatory requirements, and Clean Core principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, test, and deploy integrations for data mapping and transformation using CPI, API Management, and Event Mesh.
- Define and implement mapping techniques (Message Mapping, Groovy Scripting, XSLT), Cloud Connector setup, and B2B EDI/TPM Configuration.
- Utilize pre-built third-party connectors to integrate with non-SAP systems like Kafka and ServiceNow.
- Develop and maintain SAP design and technical specification documents.
- Conduct unit, integration, and release testing to validate functionality.
- Provide L2/L3 support, including troubleshooting production issues and performing root cause analysis.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 7+ years of SAP experience, with 3+ years in SAP Integration Middleware. This includes experience with SAP Integration Suite (CPI/Cloud Integration), SAP Integration Advisor, and BTP Architecture.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in configuring standard and custom adapters (SFTP, REST, SOAP, OData, JDBC, IDoc), managing message mapping, and using Groovy scripts and XSLT is required. A deep understanding of REST, SOAP, OData, SFTP, EDI, and JSON/XML formats is necessary. Experience is required in API Management, including publishing, securing, and monitoring APIs while enforcing security policies such as OAuth, SAML, and SSL/TLS.
EDI Knowledge: A deep understanding of EDI standards (EDIFACT, X12) and experience with DoD EDI standards (DTEB preferred) is needed. Must be able to configure EDI interfaces using TPM Configuration and adapters like AS2, SFTP, and OData.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $65.00 and $75.00 per hour. Contract employees are eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, short-term disability, and a 401(k) plan. All legally required benefits are provided.
