  • Maintaining timelines, budget, and risks for projects.
  • Designing and facilitating the implementation of data visualization best practices.
  • Researching outliers and identifying root causes of issues in reports and communicating data nuances and insights to all levels of the company in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaborating with business and IT teams to advance the company's reporting capabilities and improve the accuracy of data.
  • Prototyping, validating and deploying analytic techniques which deliver unique value to the organization.
  • Providing in-depth technical expertise with all aspects of the solution design and implementation, including requirements definition, data acquisition processes, data modeling, process automation, escalation procedures, construction and deployment.

We're excited to talk if you have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, at least 10 years of IT work experience, and at least 6 years of management experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience of BI Analytics including management support for designing intuitive, high-impact dashboards in Power BI Desktop and publishing them to Power BI Service for organizational collaboration.
  • Data Governance Engineering experience including management support for leveraging IDMC services such as Cloud Data Governance and Catalog (CDGC) and Cloud Data Quality to automate discovery of metadata, establish end-to-end lineage, an enforce data policies to ensure transparency and trust across UMB organization.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with traditional RDBMS, MPP and Hadoop.
  • Experience with BI & Data Cloud technologies (i.e. Snowflake, AWS, Matillion, Snaplogic).
  • Experience with other reporting tools (i.e. Microsoft SSRS, Alteryx, Qlik, Tableau, SAS, etc.). Although this is not required, it is highly beneficial.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, interpret and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy, including the ability to clearly and concisely present analysis and recommend specific actions to be taken.
