We are seeking an Application Programmer to design, develop, and enhance Java-based backend services and REST APIs. The role involves collaboration with product owners, scrum masters, and business subject matter experts. This position requires participation in code reviews, architectural discussions, and adherence to best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance Java-based backend services and REST APIs.
- Collaborate with product owners, scrum masters, and business SMEs during sprint ceremonies.
- Perform code reviews, contribute to architectural discussions, and ensure best practices.
- Debug production issues and participate in on-call rotation as needed.
- Write automated unit tests, integrate with CI/CD pipelines, and maintain documentation.
- Work closely with front-end teams that consume the APIs.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills:- Core Java
- JavaScript
- Jira
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in automation development.
- Proficiency in Java programming and the Spring Framework.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and enterprise integration patterns.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Spring Framework / Spring Boot.
- Experience with cloud-based infrastructure.
- Knowledge of SQL & NoSQL Databases, including performance optimization and complex queries.
- Practical experience in machine learning, including model development and deployment.
- Experience with Agile/scrum methodologies.
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Familiarity with WorkFusion platform.
Work-Life and Location
This role has a hybrid schedule requirement of a minimum of three days per week onsite. This position is a potential contract-to-hire opportunity. Sponsorship is not available for this position now or in the future.
