The IT Business Analyst is responsible for translating user-submitted requirements into the solution architecture and describing it through architecture and design documents. This role involves influencing stakeholder strategy, understanding their needs to envision and create solutions, and acting as a subject matter expert within the business and technical domain to support scope and requirement decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and build relationships with business and technology leaders across multiple organizations.
- Gather and catalog functional, non-functional, and technical requirements for stakeholder requests.
- Determine the impact of modifications and enhancements to applications across a business and technical domain, assisting with identifying integration points and the end-to-end solution design.
- Ensure changes to the application are compliant with bank standards and policies.
- Assist users and development teams in application testing and troubleshooting, including test planning and configuring test solutions.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to create, analyze, and improve processes and solutions.
- Create solution documents and detailed functional specifications for business systems using various logic modeling techniques.
- Define Agile Epics and Stories.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience.
Skills:- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts using visual aids such as diagrams, charts, and presentations.
- Experience with creating solution documents, functional specifications, and using logic modeling techniques (e.g., pseudo-code, decision tables, activity diagrams).
- Experience interpreting dashboards, such as Tableau, to drive data-driven decisions.
- Familiarity with SAFe methodology and Agile tools like Jira.
- Experience identifying, documenting, and assisting in the planning of various test phases.
- Experience working with cross-functional technical and non-technical teams.
- Meeting facilitation and discussion moderation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- A technical background such as a Computer Science/Engineering degree or programming experience.
- Understanding of NLP/NLU concepts.
- Familiarity with ADA design and guidelines.
- Experience with analysis tools and techniques like Context Diagrams, Functional Decomposition, and Use Cases.
- Ability to understand and create logical domain/data models (e.g., class diagrams, E-R diagrams).
- Experience with documenting business processes using techniques such as process flows or BPMN.
- Experience with data mapping, data transformation rules, and documenting the functional aspects of web services.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $10.00 and $53.56 per hour. A comprehensive benefits package is available to eligible employees.
