Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Epic HIM (Health Information Management) analyst to manage day to day incident support (non P1/P2) and enhancement backlog execution within an Epic HIM environment. This role serves as the primary onshore point of contact between the client team and Accenture's offshore Epic HIM analysts, ensuring effective ticket intake, triage, ownership handoff, and delivery.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned Epic HIM analyst with strong coordination and communication skills who enjoys mentoring, managing work queues, and serving as a trusted liaison to client stakeholders and end users.
Key Responsibilities
Incident & Enhancement Management
Manage non-P1 and non-P2 incident support for Epic HIM workflows
Oversee and prioritize the HIM enhancement backlog, coordinating intake, sizing, assignment, and delivery
Triage incoming tickets, clarify business and technical requirements, and ensure appropriate ownership handoff to offshore analysts
Monitor ticket progress, remove blockers, and ensure quality expectations are met
Validate solutions and coordinate testing, and ticket closure activities as needed
Onshore / Offshore Coordination
Act as the primary onshore point of contact between the client team and Accenture's offshore Epic HIM analysts
Run and facilitate daily handoff calls with the offshore team to review ticket status, priorities, dependencies, and open questions
Provide ongoing mentorship and guidance to offshore analysts, including Epic build standards, HIM workflows, and troubleshooting approaches
Ensure consistent communication, documentation, and knowledge transfer across teams
Client & End User Communication
Communicate directly with client stakeholders and HIM end users regarding ticket status, clarifications, and resolution timelines
Translate business needs into clear, actionable guidance for offshore analysts
Provide regular status updates, issue escalation, and risk awareness to client leadership as needed
Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience as an Epic Analyst, with hands on support and build experience
Active Epic HIM Certification
Strong experience supporting Epic HIM workflows, such as:
Deficiency tracking and completion
Chart completion and delinquency management
Release of Information (ROI)
Document management and chart correction
Coding and abstracting integrations (as applicable)
Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems)
Proven ability to manage ticket queues, prioritize work, and coordinate across multiple stakeholders
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience serving as a lead analyst, coordinator, or support manager
Experience mentoring or onboarding junior Epic analysts
Demonstrated experience working in an onshore/offshore delivery model
Experience supporting complex Epic HIM environments
Work Schedule & Expectations
Must be willing and able to work PST business hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PT)
Expected to lead daily offshore handoff calls and provide consistent onshore coverage
