We are seeking an experienced Application Architect to design, guide, and oversee the architecture of critical enterprise applications. This role requires broad technical depth across application frameworks, integration patterns, cloud platforms, and modern development practices. The Application Architect will partner with business stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, guide, and oversee the architecture of enterprise applications.
- Partner with stakeholders, engineering teams, and technical leads.
- Lead design decisions that align with enterprise strategy and standards.
- Create architecture diagrams, design documentation, and solution roadmaps.
- Perform architectural reviews, analyze technical debt, and evaluate solution alternatives.
- Drive enterprise-wide architecture standards and influence technical strategy.
Required Qualifications
Experience:- 10+ years in software development and application design.
- 5+ years in an Application Architect, Technical Lead, or similar architecture role.
- Strong hands-on background in Java/J2EE, Spring/Spring Boot, and enterprise application frameworks.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum or SAFe environments.
Technical Skills:- Experience designing multi-tier and microservices-based architectures, REST APIs, and integration patterns.
- Experience with cloud-native applications (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform) and event-driven, messaging systems (Kafka, MQ, etc.).
- Solid understanding of application security frameworks (OAuth2, SAML, JWT), scalability, and performance engineering.
- Proficiency with relational & NoSQL databases, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
- Familiarity with UML, Git/Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Maven/Gradle, and Swagger/OpenAPI.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Cloud (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform Architect), TOGAF, or SAFe Architect certifications.
- Experience with application modernization, cloud migration programs, domain-driven design, or API-first design.
- Experience in financial services or other regulated industries.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $60.00 and $70.24 per hour. A benefits package may be available to eligible employees.
