Critical Environment Technician - Level 3Location: Dulles, VA
Schedule: Flexible shifts (12-hour, rotating, 3/4/5-day workweeks)
About the RoleWe're looking for a highly skilled Critical Environment Technician to support operations in a high-availability, mission-critical facility. This role is ideal for a technician who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands the importance of redundancy and uptime, and is ready to take ownership of complex mechanical and electrical systems.
You'll work hands-on with chilled water systems, CRAH units, electrical infrastructure, and building management systems to ensure continuous, reliable operation. If you're motivated, safety-focused, and ready to grow your technical career, we want to meet you.
What You'll Do- Execute all tasks outlined in CE Tech Level 1 and Level 2 responsibilities.
- Perform Method of Procedure (MOP) tasks for:
- Chiller systems
- Chilled water pumps
- Computer-room air handlers (CRAH)
- All performed under "N" level redundancy conditions.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain building management and EPMS systems.
- Support electrical system operations in high-availability environments such as data centers, refineries, hospitals, or manufacturing facilities.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, documentation standards, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure uptime, reliability, and operational excellence.
What You Bring- Required: OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certification.
- Required: 5+ years of hands-on experience in technical fields (electrical, controls, automotive, data center, or similar).
- Required: Experience working with electrical systems in critical infrastructure environments.
- Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Required: Ability to work flexible schedules, including 12-hour or rotating shifts.
- Required: Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Preferred: EPA Refrigerant License.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, redundancy concepts, and safety protocols.
- Ability to follow detailed MOPs and respond effectively in high-pressure situations.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Dulles, VA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $48.00/hr.
