Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Software Engineer-SAP FS-CD Techno-Functional to play a key role in supporting critical payment operations. This individual will contribute to both daily operational excellence and strategic payment modernization initiatives. The role presents an opportunity for an SAP FS-CD expert to leverage their expertise within a complex S/4HANA landscape, enhance payment operations, and contribute to innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, and test complex tactical and strategic technical solutions across many technologies.
- Lead code and design reviews, communicating updates to stakeholders to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Develop complex algorithms to solve business needs.
- Investigate and resolve complex application and system technical problems and production issues.
- Mentor and coach other engineers on design, development, and maintenance of systems.
- Influence and help shape the future of the domain's architecture and quality standards.
- Identify system performance issues, including technical debt, and optimize solutions.
- Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree or 4 additional years of relevant experience.
Experience: 6 years of software development experience with demonstrated technical depth, including 4 years delivering solutions across the full application development lifecycle.
Technical Skills: Basic understanding of one or more of the following: Java, Swift, Objective-C, Cobol, JavaScript, Kotlin, C++, HTML, CSS, SQL, Go, or Python. Proven experience with cloud technologies and a solid understanding of secure coding practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of SAP Insurance module experience (FS-CD preferred; FICA considered), with S/4HANA Cloud experience.
- Deep knowledge of FS-CD processes such as master data, payments, billing, and reporting.
- Proficiency in SAP ABAP development, including RICEFW, Object-Oriented ABAP, solution design, and technical documentation.
- Experience with SAP Business Rules, configurations, and Business Partners.
- Knowledge of SAP APIs (REST, CDS, AMDP, ODATA) and ABAP on HANA development.
- Techno-functional skills to bridge business needs and technical solutions, with the ability to support payment operations and meet SLAs.
Work Environment
We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based out of San Antonio, TX; Plano, TX; Charlotte, NC; or Phoenix, AZ. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
Compensation & Benefits
The compensation for this position includes a pay rate between $95.00 and $105.00 per hour. For permanent conversion, the salary range is from $114,080.00 to $218,030.00 annually. A benefits package is available to eligible employees.
