ABAP Developer

Location: San Antonio, Texas (onsite)

Employment Type: Contract

Role Overview

We are seeking an ABAP Developer for a new integrations project focused on custom development. The role involves working with CDS views, AMDPs, and new S/4HANA syntaxes. The ideal candidate will be able to take high-level functional design documents and independently develop complex ABAP solutions while collaborating with technical and functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop custom ABAP solutions, including work with CDS views and the new S/4HANA syntax.
• Work with technical and functional team members to design, analyze, and develop prioritized solutions.
• Extend and integrate new solutions with pre-existing custom applications.
• Resolve system defects identified during the testing phase.
• Gain and maintain a good understanding of the solution's application architecture and database structure.
• Adhere to development standards and follow the change management process for application deployment.
• Demonstrate flexibility in working across different technical and functional domains.

Required Qualifications

• Experience with S/4HANA, OData, and CDS views.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Proficiency in full lifecycle ABAP custom development, including enhancement frameworks, BADIs, and BAPIs.
• Familiarity with new S/4HANA coding syntax and best practices.
• Ability to develop ABAP solutions independently from functional design documents.
• Strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP UI5, HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori and Business Application Studio (BAS).
• Knowledge of TSW (Trader's and Scheduler's Workbench).
