Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Lead mechanical design efforts using SolidWorks 3D, focusing on sheet metal and casting components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop prototypes and support production ramp-up.
- Drive Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) and cost reduction initiatives across product lines.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
- Optimize supply chain processes and contribute to strategic sourcing decisions.
- Provide engineering support for supply chain operations, including BOM validation and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in design and manufacturing.
- Proficient in SolidWorks 3D CAD and mechanical design principles.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal and casting design.
- Proven experience in supply chain management and vendor development.
- Expertise in cost reduction strategies, VAVE, and prototype-to-production support.
- Good understanding of supply chain engineering and logistics coordination.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
