Help Desk Technician | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $51,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Delta Township that are seeking Help Desk Technicians. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for manufacturing software and hardware.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with production line equipment and systems.
  • Document support requests, solutions, and operational procedures.
  • Assist with the setup and configuration of new workstations and manufacturing devices.
  • Conduct routine system checks and preventative maintenance on IT infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with engineers and operations staff to improve system reliability.
  • Manage user accounts and access permissions for manufacturing applications.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a help desk or IT support role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware (e.g., PCs, printers, industrial terminals) and software issues (e.g., Windows OS, MS Office, specialized manufacturing applications).
  • Strong understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN) and experience with remote support tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and IT service management best practices.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) or similar production software.
  • Familiarity with industrial control systems (e.g., PLCs, HMIs) and their basic troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in an OT (Operational Technology) environment.
  • Certifications in ITIL, CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+.
