The OpportunityWe are partnering with organizations in East Lansing that are seeking Help Desk Technicians. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing software and hardware.
- Resolve IT issues related to production machinery and control systems.
- Document and track all help desk tickets, resolutions, and recurring problems.
- Install, configure, and maintain workstations, printers, and other peripherals on the factory floor.
- Assist with network connectivity and basic server issues within the manufacturing environment.
- Conduct regular system checks and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
Recommended Qualifications- Associate's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in a help desk or IT support role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, and manufacturing-specific equipment.
- Strong understanding of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Experience with IT ticketing systems and remote support tools.
