Help Desk Technician | Mason, MI

Salary Range: $44,000 - $69,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Mason that are seeking Help Desk Technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for manufacturing software and hardware.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with shop floor control systems and equipment.
• Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution and maintain accurate records.
• Install, configure, and maintain workstations, printers, and other IT peripherals on the production floor.
• Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate IT teams or external vendors.
• Support the deployment and maintenance of MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) applications.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in IT or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience with troubleshooting hardware (e.g., PCs, printers, scanners) and software issues in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Familiarity with manufacturing-specific software applications (e.g., MES, SCADA, ERP systems).
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN) and wireless technologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, including occasional on-call support.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with SCADA systems or other industrial control systems.
• Familiarity with ERP systems used in manufacturing (e.g., SAP, Oracle EBS).
• Basic understanding of networking in an industrial setting (e.g., Profinet, EtherNet/IP).
• Knowledge of manufacturing-specific software (e.g., MES, CMMS).
