Network Architect - AWS / Hybrid Cloud

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Network Architect - AWS/Hybrid Cloud in Boston, MA.

Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Network Architect to support a large-scale cloud and network transformation initiative. This role will focus on designing and implementing secure, scalable connectivity across AWS, Azure, and on-premises environments, with a strong emphasis on AWS. This is a hands-on architecture role, not an advisory-only position. The ideal candidate will combine deep network engineering expertise with cloud architecture experience and will be comfortable both designing solutions and participating directly in implementation and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:
* Design and implement network architecture across AWS, Azure, and on-premises environments
* Establish secure connectivity between existing infrastructure and new cloud environments
* Design routing and connectivity solutions to support application and infrastructure migrations
* Architect and support AWS networking, including VPCs, routing, and hybrid connectivity
* Configure and support Palo Alto firewalls and network security solutions
* Evaluate existing network environments and recommend improvements or rearchitected where needed
* Troubleshoot complex cloud, firewall, routing, and connectivity issues
* Support application migrations from on-premises infrastructure into AWS
* Lead technical design sessions and architecture workshops
* Clearly communicate technical recommendations to business and technical stakeholders
* Collaborate with distributed engineering teams throughout design and implementation

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong experience in enterprise network architecture and engineering
* Deep hands-on experience with AWS networking
* Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls
* Experience designing connectivity between AWS and on-premises infrastructure
* Experience designing or supporting hybrid cloud environments
* Experience with cloud migrations and network transformation initiatives
* Strong knowledge of enterprise routing and network protocols
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication skills with experience leading technical discussions
* Ability to move between high-level architecture and hands-on technical execution
* Ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with Azure networking
* Multi-cloud network architecture experience
* Experience with AWS Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPNs, VPC routing, or similar cloud connectivity technologies
* Experience supporting complex enterprise cloud migrations
* Experience leading client-facing technical workshops
* CCIE certification
* Palo Alto Networks certification
* AWS certification
* Azure certification

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
