Role Overview
This Business Analyst will be responsible for requirements definition, analysis, and execution support across multiple enterprise technology initiatives focused on the M365 Ecosystem, Microsoft Information Protection, Email Classification, and large-scale client migrations. This role plays a critical part in enterprise-wide data protection and email classification initiatives, ensuring solutions align with regulatory requirements, security standards, and user productivity goals. A key focus will be supporting large client migrations and cross-departmental implementations.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and document business and functional requirements for Microsoft Information Protection, email classification, and data protection initiatives.
- Translate regulatory, risk, and security requirements into clear, actionable requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Partner with Product Managers, Architects, and Engineering teams to support solution design and delivery.
- Lead and support large-scale client and platform migrations, including discovery, impact analysis, and execution readiness.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in Email Classification tools and information protection capabilities.
- Collaborate with UX teams to ensure solutions are intuitive, efficient, and minimize end-user friction.
- Create, groom, maintain, and update Jira epics, features, and user stories.
- Support proof-of-concepts, user acceptance testing, pilot programs, and production rollouts.
- Facilitate workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and stakeholder reviews.
- Develop and maintain business process flows, use cases, and user journey documentation.
- Partner with change management teams to support communications, training, and adoption strategies.
- Coordinate testing activities and validate that delivered solutions meet business and compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications
Experience:- 5-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst in large enterprise environments.
- Experience working in a highly regulated financial institution.
- Proven experience working on email classification tools in enterprise environments.
- Experience supporting large-scale client or platform migrations.
- Demonstrated success delivering complex, cross-departmental initiatives.
- Experience supporting information protection or data classification programs.
Skills:- Strong business analysis discipline, including requirements elicitation, documentation, and validation.
- Deep understanding of Microsoft Information Protection concepts (sensitivity labels, policies, data classification).
- Knowledge of Data Classification and Automatic Classification.
- Strong user experience (UX) mindset balancing security and usability.
- Extensive Jira experience and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Excellent executive-level communication and presentation skills.
Technical Skills:- Microsoft Information Protection (MIP), Sensitivity Labels, DLP.
- Email Classification tools (e.g., Fortra Data Classification Tool, MIP).
- Implementation of Auto Classification and Purview Policies.
- Microsoft 365 and Outlook-based solutions.
- Enterprise software deployment processes.
- Excel (for large data sets) and PowerPoint (for executive presentations).
Preferred Qualifications
- Business Analysis or Agile certification is preferred.
