About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Oracle APEX Developer to support the modernization of enterprise web-based applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle database technologies and hands-on experience developing scalable web applications using Oracle as the backend.

This role requires deep knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and front-end technologies, along with the ability to design, develop, and maintain robust applications. The candidate should be comfortable working in a dynamic environment, handling multiple tasks, and contributing across the full software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain web-based applications using Oracle as the backend
  • Develop and enhance applications using Oracle APEX
  • Write, optimize, and debug complex SQL and PL/SQL code
  • Perform SQL performance tuning and query optimization
  • Design data models and define entity relationship diagrams (ERDs)
  • Develop user interfaces using HTML, JavaScript, and jQuery
  • Conduct feasibility studies and analyze business requirements
  • Prepare functional and technical specifications
  • Perform application testing, validation, and troubleshooting
  • Support application deployment, upgrades, and maintenance
  • Assess the impact of system changes and software upgrades
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on development and support activities
  • Manage version control and CI/CD processes

Required Skills & Experience

Core Technical Skills

  • Strong experience with Oracle databases (11g/12c/18c or later)
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL development
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle APEX development and UI customization
  • Experience building web-based applications using Oracle as backend

Development & Web Technologies

  • Proficiency in:
    • HTML
    • JavaScript
    • jQuery
  • Strong understanding of full application development lifecycle

Database & Performance

  • Experience with SQL performance tuning and query optimization
  • Experience designing data models and ER diagrams

Tools & Practices

  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing, and change management

Additional Skills

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Experience Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Oracle database development (SQL, PL/SQL)
  • Proven experience in Oracle APEX development
  • Experience in designing, developing, testing, and supporting enterprise applications
