Summary

Description
The Manager of the Application Maintenance team is a key leadership role within Infrastructure & Operations (I&O), reporting to the Senior Manager of IT Operations. This position is responsible for providing L2/L3 maintenance and support for applications. This includes developing and implementing application maintenance processes, planning and executing maintenance activities, managing the retirement and consolidation of applications, and collaborating with other teams to support the implementation of new applications and services. Developing and maintaining standard operating procedures and documentation for the application maintenance team. Leading a team of technical experts and working closely with other I&O and IT teams to ensure the efficient operation and management of the application maintenance team to support I&O's goals and initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
o Manage a team responsible for the maintenance and support of business applications in the I&O organization
o Develop and implement application maintenance processes and procedures, including software upgrades, patches, and bug fixes.
o Plan and execute effective, proactive maintenance activities, including corrective, preventive, adaptive, and perfective maintenance
o Plan and perform batch processes.
o Manage the retirement and consolidation of applications
o Provide maintenance and management support for middleware applications.
o Collaborate with other teams to support the implementation of new applications and services requiring maintenance services
o Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the application maintenance team
o Develop and maintain documentation, including technical guidelines and performance metrics, to ensure consistency and accuracy in the management of applications

Education and Experience
o Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
o 7+ years of experience in IT application support and maintenance, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role
o Strong experience with application lifecycle management (ALM) methodologies and tools
o Proven experience in managing application maintenance and support services for a large and complex IT organization
o Experience with both custom-developed and packaged applications
o Familiarity with project management methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall
o Strong knowledge of various programming languages and technologies, such as Java, .NET, SQL, and Oracle
o Ability to stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to Application Maintenance
o Demonstrated experience in managing and leading teams, including coaching and mentoring team members
o Familiar with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks
o Excellent communication and collaboration skills
o Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to drive and implement process improvements

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $75.00/hr.
