This role is responsible for the day-to-day management, configuration, and optimization of security technologies to ensure they operate effectively and reliably. The coordinator supports the security ticketing queue by fulfilling service requests, troubleshooting tool-related issues, and completing configuration and operational tasks in a timely manner. This position focuses on sustaining and improving the overall health of security platforms through updates, policy tuning, and vendor coordination, while partnering closely with internal IT stakeholders to ensure consistent and secure deployment of controls in a highly collaborative environment.

What You'll Do

  • Review and triage business requests impacted by security tool blocks (e.g., access issues, denied traffic, quarantined files)
  • Assist with vulnerability assessments and remediation efforts.
  • Conduct network and user activity audits when required
  • Modify, create, and maintain rules/policies (e.g., firewall, EDR, email security, web filtering) to support business operations
  • Continuously improve workflows for faster triage and resolution of tooling-related requests
  • Document security procedures, standards, and policies
  • Coordinate with application owners and IT teams to understand traffic flows and requirements
  • Collaborate with Information Security team members to investigate and resolve incidents efficiently
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support after-hours security needs
  • Monitor, analyze, and respond to security logs and alerts using SIEM tools

What We're Looking For
  • Associate degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 0-2 years of experience interpreting or working with security-related logs and events.
  • Basic understanding of information security principles and best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Even Better If You Have
  • Information security certifications.
  • Familiarity with security tools such as email filtering, endpoint detection and response, and content filtering solutions.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, operating systems, and common security frameworks.
  • Experience creating technical documentation or training materials.

Work Schedule
Monday through Friday (hybrid), daytime hours with a rotation cycle for on call. Work on weekends, holidays, and non-business hours may be required.
