Job#: 3035462 Job Description: The Automotive Student Technician is an entry-level position designed for students pursuing a career in the automotive field. This role provides hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repair under the supervision of experienced technicians. The student technician assists with basic service tasks while developing technical skills and industry knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist senior technicians with vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repairs
- Perform basic services such as oil changes, tire rotations, battery checks, and fluid top-offs
- Help diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools (under supervision)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Properly handle tools and equipment
- Document work performed and report findings to supervising technicians
- Participate in ongoing training and skill development
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of automotive systems and components
- Strong willingness to learn and take direction
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Valid driver's license
- Possess Basic Toolbox
Work Environment:
- Stellantis internal fleet Diagnostics/Repair shop
- Requires adherence to safety standards and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
