Description
We are looking for a skilled Systems Engineer to join our team in Asheville, North Carolina. This contract-to-permanent role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies, focusing on Hyper-V management and Azure platforms. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting a mix of enterprise clients and smaller customers while contributing to the overall success of our services team.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage Hyper-V environments with an emphasis on Systems Center operations.
Handle Microsoft Azure-related tasks, including cloud migration, identity management, and access policies.
Provide advanced support for Azure Active Directory and ensure seamless integration with other systems.
Act as an escalation point for Tier 1 support during on-call rotations, addressing complex technical issues.
Develop and implement training programs to enhance in-house staff capabilities.
Collaborate with team members to support a large enterprise client and approximately 50 smaller customers.
Ensure the smooth transition of systems from on-premises to cloud environments.
Participate in a two-stage interview process, including technical assessments.
Manage time effectively to meet client and organizational expectations.
Work in a hybrid or onsite schedule, adhering to an 8 AM to 5 PM workday.
Requirements
Proficiency in managing Hyper-V environments and Systems Center.
Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, including cloud migration and identity management.
Solid understanding of Azure Active Directory and access policy configurations.
Experience with VMware and other virtualization technologies.
Relevant Azure certifications highly preferred.
Ability to handle on-call escalations and provide Tier 2/3 support.
Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients and team members.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in systems engineering.
