Controls Engineer | Paw Paw, MI

Salary Range: $86,000 - $131,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and tests control systems for manufacturing processes.
• Programs and troubleshoots PLCs, HMIs, and robotic systems.
• Implements and optimizes industrial automation solutions to improve efficiency and quality.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to define control system requirements and specifications.
• Provides technical support and training for manufacturing and maintenance personnel on control systems.
• Develops and maintains detailed documentation for control system designs, programs, and procedures.
• Conducts root cause analysis and implements corrective actions for control system malfunctions.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience designing, programming, and commissioning PLC-based control systems (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens).
• Proficiency in HMI/SCADA development (e.g., FactoryTalk View, WinCC, Ignition).
• Strong understanding of industrial networking protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP/IP).
• Experience with robotics programming and integration (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB).
• Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and automation systems in a manufacturing environment.
