Position: SAP APO Consultant
Job Description:
Customer is currently implementing APO for one of their business units on the ECC system, with plans to eventually transition to S/4HANA with IBP. Strong and proven APO implementation experience.

Lead the transition of planning processes from SAP APO (DP/SNP) to SAP IBP (Demand, S&OP, Response & Supply).
Develop and maintain interfaces between APO/IBP and ECC/S4 using CIF, OData services, and integration middleware.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance planning capabilities across global manufacturing sites.
Define how ECC serves as the system of record while IBP acts as the engine for tactical and strategic planning.
Conduct workshops to translate complex supply chain requirements into functional specifications across the APO/IBP landscape.
Configure Planning Areas, Master Data Types, Key Figures, and Planning Levels within IBP.
Collaborate with the customer Business Network to develop and support enterprise planning solutions that reduce operating costs and improve supply chain performance.
Support and optimize existing APO modules (DP, SNP, GATP, or PP/DS) to ensure business continuity during the transition.
Manage the CIF (Core Interface) for APO and the CPI-DS (Cloud Platform Integration for Data Services) or SDI (Smart Data Integration) for IBP to ensure data flows correctly between ERP and Planning.
Ensure ECC master data (Materials, BOMs, Work Centers, TLRs) is clean and synchronized across all platforms.
Design constrained and unconstrained supply plans using the IBP Optimizer or Heuristics, then push results back to ECC for production/purchase requisitions.
