Overview

A leading manufacturer and e-commerce-driven organization is seeking a Senior Magento Developer to support and enhance its digital commerce platform. This individual will play a key role in building scalable, high-performing Magento solutions while partnering closely with cross-functional teams across the business.

The ideal candidate brings deep Magento expertise, strong backend development skills, and experience working in fast-paced, product-driven environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Magento-based e-commerce platforms
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Customize Magento themes, extensions, and modules to meet evolving needs
• Optimize site performance, security, and scalability
• Integrate third-party tools, APIs, and services
• Collaborate with design, QA, and project teams to deliver high-quality releases
• Troubleshoot and resolve Magento-related technical issues
• Stay current on Magento trends, tools, and best practices
• Develop custom Magento modules using PHP and industry best practices
• Manage deployments across test and production environments (AWS)
• Support production systems, including high-priority issue resolution (as needed)
• Perform initial testing prior to business user validation

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of experience with Adobe Magento (Magento 2 preferred)
• Strong proficiency in:
  • PHP
  • JavaScript
  • HTML/CSS
  • MySQL
• Experience with version control (e.g., Bitbucket) and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with AWS-based environments

Preferred:

• Knowledge of:
  • Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, SEO, PPC, A/B testing
  • Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
  • Headless architecture and modern front-end frameworks
  • Design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Containerization/orchestration technologies
• Experience supporting global compliance standards (GDPR, ADA, etc.)
