Job#: 3032392 Job Description: Apex Systems has an immediate need for a Sr. OT Application Engineer.
This person will be responsible for the design, deployment, and troubleshooting of applications within the operational technology environment
This role involves gathering application information, evaluating site applications, ensuring alignment with standards, and installing and configuring security tools to ensure applications are properly patched and updated.
Ideal candidates will have the following:
- Proficiency in deploying and troubleshooting applications into an operational environment.
- 3+ years of experience managing and supporting applications in operational technology environments.
- Understanding of network ports and their configurations.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Proficiency in implementing and managing security tools and SIEM systems.
- Understanding of network infrastructure and application integration.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work well with others.
- Willingness to travel 30%
- Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Key Responsibilities:- Collect and assess application data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Evaluate site applications for alignment with standards.
- Migrate non-standard applications to standard applications.
- Install and configure necessary security measures/tools to protect applications.
- Verify that applications are properly integrated with the Security Information and Event Management system.
- Remediate vulnerabilities identified by vulnerability monitoring software.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth application deployment and operation.
- Ensure applications are properly integrated within the network infrastructure.
