Description Telecommunications Wireline - Supervisor / Project Manager (Contract)Role SummaryThis contract role owns the end-to-end execution of the Telecom Disconnect Initiative, overseeing people, process, and delivery to ensure cost-savings targets and program milestones are met. The Supervisor / Project Manager leads a team of Telecom Analysts and coordinates closely with cross-functional partners to evaluate legacy telecommunications services, manage disconnect and replacement efforts, and provide structured reporting and executive updates.
Key Responsibilities- Own and drive the Telecom Disconnect Initiative from planning through execution
- Lead and manage a team of 8 Telecom Analysts responsible for enterprise-wide inventory, usage analysis, and billing review of legacy telecom services
- Oversee analysis of analog voice lines and data circuits to determine services to retain, replace, or disconnect
- Ensure disconnect orders and replacement activities are properly submitted, tracked, and executed
- Manage project timelines, scope, risks, dependencies, and deliverables
- Track and report savings, progress, and milestones associated with approved initiatives
- Provide regular status updates, governance reporting, and executive-level communications
- Resolve issues, remove blockers, and ensure alignment across stakeholders to keep initiatives on track
Key Interactions- Directly manages and supports a team of Telecom Analysts
- Works closely with Sourcing, Digital, Field Management, and Telecom teams to align priorities and execution
- Engages with vendors and suppliers to support disconnects, replacements, and service changes
- Communicates regularly with leadership and executive stakeholders through structured reporting, governance forums, and status updates
Requirements Minimum of seven years of relevant experience, including hands-on project management and team leadership.
Strong technical expertise in telecommunications systems, including legacy voice circuits and VoIP technologies.
Proven ability to manage infrastructure projects and optimize telecom costs.
Skilled in analyzing complex data and developing actionable insights.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for conveying recommendations and updates to stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in vendor coordination and managing external relationships.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in fast-paced environments.
Familiarity with enterprise voice systems and analog circuit technologies.
