On-site Every Other Week / 5 days in Westlake, TX

Our client seeks a Senior Systems Analyst to support the Household Parameter Sheet platform that powers REST APIs and AWS-based microservices for strategic partners across Workplace and Personal Investing. You will analyze and validate APIs, coordinate releases, create documentation, drive observability, and partner with engineering to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions.

Rate: $55.00 to $60.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Household Parameter Sheet platform of REST APIs and AWS microservices for enrollment flows and downstream processing.
  • Analyze, validate, and test REST APIs using tools such as Bruno or Postman, including building collections, validating contracts, and debugging failures.
  • Lead API version migration analysis, including impact assessment, communication, contract comparison, and regression validation.
  • Develop and maintain system flow diagrams, process maps, data mappings, dependency maps, and architecture documentation.
  • Drive observability using Splunk for log analysis, incident investigation, distributed tracing, dashboards, and alerts.
  • Coordinate releases, including readiness, scheduling, cross-team communication, and post-release validation.
  • Create and maintain Confluence documentation such as architecture overviews, runbooks, migration guides, and process flows.
  • Collaborate with developers to support and validate API contracts, JSON payloads, Kafka event flows, and AWS integrations.
  • Contribute to problem identification, isolation, root-cause analysis, and communication across environments.
  • Engage with business and technology partners to translate needs into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.

Experience Requirements:
  • 6 to 9 years supporting software solutions in financial services or enterprise technology.
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON payloads, and microservice integration patterns.
  • Hands-on API testing and validation using Bruno, Postman, or equivalent.
  • Experience with API versioning strategies and migration execution.
  • Proven use of Splunk for log analysis, tracing, dashboards, and alerts.
  • Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, S3, SQS, and event-driven architectures including Kafka or Kinesis.
  • Familiarity with Java and Spring Boot microservice architecture for analysis and documentation.
  • Proficiency creating system diagrams, process maps, data mappings, dependency maps, and architecture documentation.
  • Ability to write detailed business and technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • SQL proficiency with ability to trace data across relational and NoSQL stores.
  • Understanding of functional and integration testing concepts, with exposure to tools like Cypress as a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of Scrum with required Jira and Confluence experience.
  • Release coordination experience across teams and environments.
  • Test data generation experience using tools like Hexawise is a plus.
  • Awareness of AI and ML product concepts is a bonus.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across U.S. and India based teams.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technology field.
