Role Overview

The IT Programmer Analyst is responsible for performing moderate to complex system analysis, development, and support activities to enhance system performance and operational efficiency. This role involves monitoring system resources, evaluating business processes, and analyzing operational trends to support continuous improvement initiatives.

The analyst will provide technical and functional support for enterprise applications, with a primary focus on Infor Lawson systems, while also assisting with other enterprise applications as needed. The role includes developing automation solutions, supporting system integrations, and collaborating with business teams across Finance, Supply Chain, and Payroll functions.

Key Responsibilities

Application Support

• Provide technical and functional support for Infor Lawson applications across Finance, Supply Chain, and Payroll modules.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Lawson and other enterprise applications when required.

• Ensure reliability, availability, and performance of supported systems.

Development & Automation

• Develop and maintain solutions using Lawson 4GL, COBOL, SQL, and ProcessFlow.

• Create and maintain Lawson batch jobs, programs, and scripts to automate business processes.

• Develop and support Lawson IPA workflows, notifications, and system integrations.

System Monitoring & Analysis

• Monitor system performance and analyze operational data and historical trends.

• Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation improvements.

• Provide recommendations to improve system efficiency and operational effectiveness.

Collaboration & Integration

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to support system functionality and enhancements.

• Assist with integration efforts across enterprise systems.

• Provide technical expertise during system troubleshooting and support activities.

Required Skills

• Strong experience supporting Infor Lawson applications.

• Proficiency in:

  • Lawson 4GL

  • COBOL

  • SQL

  • ProcessFlow

• Experience building and maintaining Lawson IPA workflows, notifications, and integrations.

• Ability to develop and maintain Lawson batch jobs, automation scripts, and custom programs.

• Functional knowledge of Finance, Supply Chain, and Payroll systems.

• Ability to provide support for non-Lawson enterprise applications when required.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Lawson Design Studio, including forms, UI customization, and JavaScript.

• Knowledge of Infor Lawson non-core S3 applications such as:

  • MSCM

  • XM

  • LBI

• Experience supporting or participating in migrations from Infor Lawson to Oracle Fusion.
