Position Summary

A leading healthcare organization in Houston, TX is seeking a Mid Level Epic Application Analyst to advance the functionality and operational efficiency of its Information Systems through deep expertise in Epic applications.

This role involves intermediate to advanced analysis, design, configuration, implementation, and ongoing support of Epic systems. The Senior Analyst ensures effective integration of technology into clinical and revenue cycle workflows while driving operational efficiency across assigned applications.

The ideal candidate will serve as a technical resource, provide advanced problem-solving support, contribute to system training efforts, and assume higher-level project responsibilities. This position typically reports to an IS Manager or higher.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

• Associate s Degree preferred

Certifications:

• Epic Professional Billing Certification Required

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 4 years of progressively responsible experience in large corporate healthcare systems development and implementation

• Experience in:

  • System analysis

  • Design

  • Build

  • Testing

  • Implementation

• Strong working knowledge of hospital operations

• Prior experience with Epic or other Health Information Systems required

• Experience supporting and resolving complex system issues

• Experience mentoring or assisting other analysts

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Epic application support, development tools, and methodologies

• Strong analytical and technical aptitude

• Excellent planning and organizational skills

• Strong communication, collaboration, and customer service skills

• Demonstrated growth in leadership and ability to guide team members

Preferred Knowledge & Expertise

• Strong Billing Area Knowledge

• Charge Router Experience

• Integration Experience (interfaces and cross-system workflows)

• Analyze, design, configure, test, and implement Epic Professional Billing solutions

• Optimize system workflows to enhance operational efficiency

• Provide advanced-level application support and troubleshooting

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration

• Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and optimization initiatives

• Assist in training and supporting end users

• Serve as a technical subject matter expert for assigned Epic applications

• Contribute to strategic system improvement projects
