The Quoting & Estimating Manager plays a central role in evaluating opportunity, risk, and long-term fit helping guide which work ZYCI pursues and how it is priced.

The Work You ll Be Doing\n
In this role, you will:
\n
\n- Review and analyze RFQs including 3D models, 2D drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements
\n- Develop comprehensive cost estimates covering:\n
\n- CNC machining (in-house and outsourced)
\n- Raw materials
\n- Finishing and special processes
\n- Inspection, testing, and certifications
\n- Hardware, subcomponents, and assemblies
\n
\n \n- Estimate machining time, setup time, inspection time, and non-recurring engineering (NRE)
\n- Coordinate and evaluate supplier quotes for materials, outsourced machining, finishing, and testing
\n- Identify and document risks, assumptions, constraints, and major cost drivers for each quote
\n- Maintain accurate quote data, traceability, and documentation using ProShop ERP and SharePoint
\n- Support pricing strategies focused on repeatable, high-value, long-term production programs
\n- Collaborate closely with sales, operations, and executive leadership to align quotes with technical capability and strategic objectives
\n- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and accountability across all estimating activities

Machines, Processes & Software Exposure\n
While this is not a hands-on machining role, technical fluency is essential. You will work closely with teams supporting:

Machining Capabilities:
\n
\n- Multi-axis CNC milling
\n- Mill-turn and multi-tasking machining
\n- Swiss turning
\n- EDM (wire and drilling)
\n
\n
ERP & Software:
\n
\n- ProShop ERP (preferred)
\n- SharePoint
\n- Engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications
\n
\n

What We re Looking For\n
Required:
\n
\n- Strong technical understanding of CNC machining processes (mills, lathes, multi-axis)
\n- Ability to read, interpret, and evaluate engineering drawings and GD&T
\n- Experience developing cost estimates in a precision manufacturing environment
\n- Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
\n- Comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets, and ERP systems
\n- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple RFQs simultaneously
\n- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
\n- Experience supporting aerospace or defense manufacturing programs

Preferred (Not Required):

\n- Prior experience in a quoting, estimating, or cost analysis leadership role
\n- Familiarity with ProShop ERP
\n- Exposure to complex, tight-tolerance, high-compliance manufacturing environments
