OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Maximo Engineer to support a large-scale upgrade from
IBM Maximo 7.6 to the
Maximo Application Suite (MAS 9). This role requires deep expertise in Maximo application architecture, infrastructure modernization, and migration to
Red Hat OpenShift.
This engineer will support multi-site environments and play a key role in executing a complex digital transformation effort impacting 7-8 operational sites.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the technical upgrade from Maximo 7.6 to Maximo Application Suite (MAS 9).
- Architect, configure, and deploy Maximo within Red Hat OpenShift-based environments.
- Oversee migration of data, configurations, and customizations to MAS.
- Support infrastructure changes from on-premises SQL/DB2 servers to cloud-based container clusters.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, integration, and performance issues across environments.
- Partner with operations and site teams to ensure continuity across 7+ sites during upgrade cycles.
- Provide guidance on Maximo best practices, architecture, and system reliability.
- Document system configurations, upgrade paths, and technical processes.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (GS, Appian, product owners).
Required Qualifications- 7-10+ years of experience with IBM Maximo (including version 7.6).
- Proven, hands-on experience performing upgrades to Maximo Application Suite (MAS), ideally MAS 8 or MAS 9.
- Strong background with Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, or similar container orchestration platforms.
- Expertise in Maximo system architecture, integrations, and configuration.
- Experience migrating large, multi-site Maximo deployments.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure components: networking, servers, clustering, databases.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments where deadlines and priorities shift rapidly.
Nice-to-Have Skills- Experience supporting government service environments or regulated industries.
- Familiarity with Appian or other enterprise low-code platforms (not required but helpful).

- IBM Maximo
- Red Hat OpenShift (RHCSA, RHCE, or similar)
- Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD)
