The Opportunity
Sage Group is seeking a Business Development Leader to drive immediate revenue growth while building a scalable, high-performing sales function. This New Jersey–based, hands-on leadership role is ideal for a proven sales professional who can deliver results from Day 1 while architecting the future of the sales organization.
You will be responsible for expanding our IT staffing and consulting business through a balanced focus on new client acquisition (hunter) and account growth (farmer). This role requires someone who brings an active network, near-term opportunities, and the discipline to convert early success into a repeatable growth engine.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end revenue generation, from pipeline creation through deal closure
- Drive new logo acquisition while expanding existing client relationships
- Build and manage a robust pipeline across IT staffing and consulting services
- Partner closely with delivery teams to ensure successful execution and client satisfaction
- Establish a structured, repeatable sales process (qualification, forecasting, reporting, metrics)
- Maintain accurate pipeline visibility and forecast discipline
- Consistently meet or exceed revenue and activity targets
- Mentor and develop future sales team members as the organization scales

Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in IT staffing and/or technology consulting sales
- Must be based in New Jersey or willing to relocate to New Jersey
- Proven track record of building pipelines from scratch and closing complex deals
- Experience in a consulting or professional services environment
- Established network with immediate, qualified opportunities
- Strong consultative selling skills and ability to manage longer sales cycles
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale a sales function
- Excellent business judgment and credibility with clients and internal stakeholders
- Highly motivated, competitive, and results-driven
