Data Scientist III

RESPONSIBILITIES:
A client with Kforce is seeking a Data Scientist III to join their team in Mountain View, CA.

Summary:
We are seeking a Data Scientist for FY27. This individual will partner with business stakeholders to define and measure key funnel metrics and identify and execute on opportunities to improve E2E product performance.

In Season:
* Automation of in-season KPI reporting and opportunity identification for Referrals program to reduce the weekly lift
* Partnering with a cross-functional team of Marketers, PMs, PDs, designers, etc. to design and execute a/b tests including instrumentation, test design, test reporting, and completing significance testings and ad hoc analysis as needed
* Ad hoc directional and causal analysis as needed to unblock decisions and path forward

Out of Season:
* Build new Referral reporting capabilities - We are launching new initiatives within the referrals program and need to establish E2E and product-facing metrics, pipelines, and dashboards; These need to be developed by defining key funnel metrics, identifying more stable backend metrics in place of front-end clickstream, optimizing pipeline performance, and improving business facing reporting in partnership with business stakeholders
* Develop self-serve capabilities for Referrals testing to drive consistency with those used for relevant funnel/product scope areas (i.e. FnF, Shopping) to enable faster a/b testing in season
* Partner with cross functional team on product development needs and learning plan development as needed

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field (Data Science, CS, Statistics, Business Analytics)
* Ideal candidates will have experience in AI-assisted workflows or a strong desire to learn
* Time series forecasting and industry experience in Financial Technology
* Proven track record of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making
* Data science craft skills
* Strong SQL and analytics skills

* Causal inference

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
