Role Summary
We are seeking a Sr. Project Manager to lead a complex, multi?phase Master Data Management program focused on establishing a single source of truth for item, vendor, and location data. This role will guide the planning and execution of vendor onboarding capabilities in Phase 1 and a scalable enterprise MDM product in Phase 2.
You will drive program vision, roadmap, and delivery, partnering closely with teams across Merchandising, Supply Chain, Digital, Finance, and Technology. This position requires strong leadership, clear communication, and proven success delivering data?intensive retail or merchandising initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the end?to?end delivery of a multi?phase Master Data Management program
• Define program vision, roadmap, work plans, and delivery standards across all MDM workstreams
• Translate business goals into actionable execution plans spanning technology, data governance, and operations
• Manage interdependent workstreams involving vendor onboarding, item data, and enterprise MDM workflows
• Guide cross?functional teams, resolve escalations, and ensure alignment across business and technical partners
• Drive on?time, on?budget delivery of program milestones and enterprise transformation targets
• Oversee documentation, reporting, change management, and executive communication
• Monitor risks, dependencies, and data readiness activities impacting downstream systems
Key Requirements
• 7+ years of IT project or program management experience leading large?scale, cross?functional, or data?intensive initiatives
• Direct experience managing projects involving master data, merchandising systems, product or item workflows, vendor onboarding, or supply chain data
• Strong understanding of retail processes including merchandising, sourcing, pricing, item setup, forecasting, and inventory management
• Proven track record delivering multi?workstream programs requiring systems integration and data governance
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross?functional teams and manage high?visibility escalations
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive reporting skills
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Smartsheet, or Azure DevOps
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, Data Management, or related field
• PMP, Agile, Scrum, or related project management certification
• Experience with enterprise?scale retail transformation programs
