Job Title: Software Engineer 4 / Senior Containerization Engineer (Ab Initio / OpenShift)

Location: Charlotte, NC) - Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Contract Length: 12 months (potential extension or conversion)

Pay Rate: $69 - $74
Top Requirements:

5+ years of experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)

Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and CI/CD pipeline development

Proven experience containerizing complex enterprise applications and migrating from VM-based environments

Plusses:

Experience with Ab Initio and ETL/data platform engineering

Experience with MongoDB, Teradata, or enterprise data systems

Experience in private cloud environments

Certifications in Kubernetes, Docker, or cloud platforms

Experience with enterprise deployment frameworks and automation tools (e.g., AutoSys)

Job Summary:

In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering. Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables. Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Design and implement containerization strategies for enterprise ETL platform components
• Lead migration from VM-based deployments to containerized environments (Kubernetes/OpenShift)
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for deployment and automation of Ab Initio components
• Automate provisioning, deployment, and maintenance using Infrastructure as Code
• Onboard and integrate Ab Initio components into enterprise deployment frameworks (EPOX)
• Ensure proper orchestration and deployment within Kubernetes clusters
• Support data platform operations across private cloud environments and enterprise databases
• Optimize platform performance through automation and monitoring
• Collaborate with infrastructure, platform, and data engineering teams
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform and deployment issues
• Drive initiatives independently, proactively addressing blockers and delivering solutions
