Description
We are looking for an experienced IT Manager/Director to oversee and enhance our organization's technology infrastructure in Waltham, Massachusetts. This contract-to-permanent position requires a strategic leader who can ensure the smooth operation of IT systems while supporting business objectives and organizational growth. The ideal candidate will bring a decade of expertise to lead IT initiatives, manage budgets, and uphold security standards.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain reliable IT and communication systems to support organizational operations, including planning, procurement, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with leadership to align IT strategies with business and strategic goals.
Define project objectives, service levels, and resource plans while communicating progress to stakeholders and team members.
Supervise and guide the IT team across multiple locations to ensure accountability and efficiency.
Select and manage contractors and vendors to meet organizational technology needs effectively.
Oversee IT security practices to ensure compliance with applicable standards, including ISO27001.
Manage departmental budgets, including annual reviews and long-term capital planning in collaboration with finance leadership.
Maintain an accurate inventory of all computer equipment and related assets.
Develop and implement IT policies covering architecture, security, disaster recovery, and service standards.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and assess their potential to meet business requirements.
Requirements
Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT management or leadership roles.
Proficiency in Active Directory and Backup Technologies.
Strong knowledge of Cisco Technologies and computer hardware.
Expertise in configuration management and cloud services such as Office365 and Microsoft Azure.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and vendor relationships effectively.
Experience in IT security practices and compliance with industry standards.
Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple locations.
Strong communication skills to liaise with leadership, staff, and external partners.
