Location: Alexandria, Virginia (Hybrid)
Role Overview
This position is for a Cyber Data Analyst within a policy-focused program. The role involves analyzing data, understanding trends, and communicating findings to government leadership. This is not a hands-on technical data position but rather an analytical role focused on providing insights from user activity monitoring data and other metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze User Activity Monitoring (UAM) data and comply-to-connect metrics, dedicating approximately 50% of time to each.
- Conduct trending analysis to identify significant patterns, drops, or changes in data.
- Establish API connections or pull exports from existing databases to facilitate data analysis.
- Translate technology, intelligence, or cybersecurity information into enterprise-level reports and strategy documents for leadership.
- Communicate findings and data-driven trends to C-suite equivalent government executives.
- Conduct research and coordination to represent leadership intent and interests effectively.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience: A Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience with cybersecurity or information technology is required. In lieu of a degree, 14+ years of relevant experience will be considered.
Skills & Experience:- Experience with data and metrics analysis using tools such as Power BI.
- Familiarity with defense contracts and the Department of Defense (DoD) operational environment.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and threat monitoring.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior-level executives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within a senior-level office or Joint Command.
- Experience overseeing a cybersecurity-focused team, project, or work effort.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and their applications.
- Familiarity with task management systems like CATMS to direct tasking across an organization.
- Possession of excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of three days per week on-site. The position operates on standard core business hours. The candidate must be willing to work full-time on-site upon client request.
